Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Developer to work on a Federal contract with the state of NY. This is a contract position for a minimum of 1 year and can extend up to 3 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle. Collaborate with engineering team members to create innovative high quality and defect-free solutions to meet the NYPD and FDNY requirements. Work with Engineers, Applied Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers to ensure delivery of desired functionality and interoperability of the systems. Provide engineering assistance for writing, optimizing, and executing QA/ Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) test plans across enterprise. Provide engineering assistance for controlled execution of releases into the managed production environment. Desired Experience:

• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop/maintain applications in C#, ASP.NET, Web API for n-tier web deployment.
• Experience developing and maintaining web applications that utilize HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap and Cascading Style Sheets.
• Experience with Oracle: Database design, PL SQL coding, stored procedures, packages, indexes, triggers, views, creating tables, etc.,
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) application integration including development of secure .Net web-services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), SOAP/Restful APIs, message and queue processing, and/or an Enterprise Service Bus.
• Experience using Team Foundation Server and GIT including CI/CD for source code management.
• Experience working with UI/UX team, Business Analysts, and Project managers to define requirements and timelines.
• Experience coding and maintaining applications which contain Health Care data that fall under HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Experience with user provisioning, authentication and authorization using OKTA, LDAP, RSA, and Access Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Clear understanding of the systems development lifecycle, challenges and prospective delays and experience resolving such issues.
• Integration, Engineering and Testing background for Public Safety Answering Center System of Systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills as well as presentation and facilitation skills
• Subject Matter Expert of Enterprise Integration for multiple complex applications within Public Safety domain
• Requirements Documentation: Creating clear and comprehensive requirements documents.
• Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Learning Agility: Willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
• Experience building and supporting mission critical infrastructure for critical applications, running in a highly distributed manner.
• Experience in large-scale integration efforts involving multiple technologies, virtual infrastructures, end-user agencies and/or contractors;
• Experience overseeing (from a technical perspective) multiple projects
• Organization, creativity, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines;

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
